I write. I edit. I index books. I do other book-y and publish-y things. And I do a bit of gardening. But writing is the thing that is the most satisfying to me, and the way in which I make sense of the world.
     I knew this was true when I got my B.A. in journalism, and it was even more true when I got my M.A. in writing. I write nonfiction and fiction, I've blogged, and I've been published by traditional publishers, newspapers, and magazines in addition to self-publishing some of my shorter works.
     But I also enjoy shepherding other writers' books to publication and in the past 20 years or so I've worked on hundreds of titles with large publishers, small presses, and university presses, as well as indie authors.
